There is a good verity of habitat here for finding many different types of birds. This sanctuary or the contiguous conservation land around it contain open coastline, sheltered coastline, field, swamp, and woodland. The trails and well maintained but require good boots and may sometimes be wet.
You have the best of both worlds, ocean views and walk in the woods. Perfect for body, soul and spirit. Beyond the field is the quansett trail leading you past Allen's pond and deep into the woods.
It's so peaceful here, and they really do care about the wildlife. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and the scenery is just gorgeous.
