I love this beach, been coming here since I was a kid with my family. My only complaint is the seagulls, watch your food....even if it is in your hand they will snatch it out. Best bet is to bring a hard-sided cooler to keep ALL your food in it and guard your food in your hand with your life! Otherwise the beach is beautiful, the area is beautiful, and there is always a little bit of wave-action going on.
Nice beach, but pretty rocky in the water. Best protective shoes. Parking is $20, which while not unusual, is a bit expensive.
Beautiful beach with lots of life guards on duty. The waves are big enough to be exciting for the kids, but not so big that they are intimidated or endangered by them. The sand is nice and fine without a lot of rocks. Having public bathrooms is great. As a non-smoker, I was put off by the smell of cigarettes wafting in my direction.
Nice location,sandy and just off the highway. We were tracked on our phone to report places we visited since I have a new phone. It's kinda weird that we would have never thought to review a beach otherwise! Bathrooms could have been a little more clean. Kids seem to enjoy the Jeddie.
My favorite beach. If you don't like crowds just keep walking down the beach and you will easily find a spot to yourself. I love the sand dunes and walking the beach in the winter. Gooseberry island is right down the street, also a good place for a walk.
